Medha Smart Home Automation App
1. Acceptance of Terms
By downloading, installing, or using the Medha Smart Home Automation App (“App”),
developed by Confio Technologies Pvt Ltd, you agree to be bound by these Terms
and Conditions.
If you do not agree with any part of these terms, you must not use the App.
2. Device Compatibility and Requirements
- A stable internet connection is required
- Compatible only with Confio home automation devices
- Communication occurs via Wi-Fi and MQTT protocols
- Users must maintain secure network connections
3. User Account and Security
- Users must create an account using a valid email address
- You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of account credentials
- Unauthorized access or security breaches must be reported immediately
- Account credentials are securely stored in the cloud
4. Data Collection and Privacy
Important Disclosure:
This App collects and transmits user images and device information to enable
smart home functionality and user authentication.
- Data related to device usage, settings, and preferences is collected
- All data is encrypted and stored securely according to industry standards
- Users may delete their account at any time unless retention is required by law
- Explicit user consent is required before collecting personal data
- Consent is obtained through clear and unambiguous mechanisms
- Consent is not obtained through auto-dismissing messages or passive navigation
- Personal data is not sold to third parties
5. Safety and Emergency Protocols
- The App should not be used as a primary security system
- Users must maintain functional manual controls
- No liability for damages caused by device malfunctions or outages
6. Service Availability and Updates
- We aim for 99.9% uptime but do not guarantee uninterrupted service
- Periodic updates may be released for security and functionality
- Users must keep the App updated
7. Limitation of Liability
- No responsibility for improper or unauthorized use
- Liability limited to the amount paid for the App, if any
- No liability for indirect or consequential damages

Device Permissions and Data Usage
Location Information
- Location data is collected solely for gateway information
- Used only for gateway functionality
- Not shared with third parties
Storage Access
- Storage access is required to save necessary data
- User biometrics are stored locally on the device
- Data is deleted upon user request
Biometric Data
- Fingerprint authentication is used for security features
- Biometric data is stored only on the user’s device
- Verification occurs using Android secure systems
Network Information
- Network state data is collected for performance optimization
- Wi-Fi multicast access is used for gateway communication
- Network data is not shared with third parties
Camera Usage
The App requires camera access for:
- Room creation
- Doorbell functionality
Captured images are:
- Accessed only with explicit user permission
- Stored locally and in the cloud
- Used only for intended functionality
- Deleted after account deletion
We do not:
- Access the camera or microphone without user knowledge
- Share camera data with third parties
- Use captured images beyond described purposes
